Antheia, The Garden Untamed | 29mm
I sometimes wonder what the world would look like if we could see the energy of everything growing. Not just the flowers opening or the leaves unfolding, but the extraordinary little dance happening beneath the surface. The movement of life reaching toward light, finding its way through darkness, and becoming something beautiful without ever knowing exactly what it was meant to be.
Antheia, the Greek goddess associated with flowers and blossoming gardens, feels like she would understand that kind of magic. I imagine her wandering through an impossibly colorful garden, leaving a trail of wildflowers in places where nothing had ever grown before.
This marble reminds me of a garden that has forgotten all its boundaries.
Brilliant lime and emerald greens create a luminous landscape filled with ribbons of magenta, violet, turquoise, and fiery orange. Shimmering gold and copper catch the light beneath the surface, while delicate black and white details weave between the layers like little pieces of an intricate botanical illustration. Every turn reveals another unexpected intersection of color, another beautiful little world tucked inside the glass.
There is something wonderfully unapologetic about this piece. The colors don’t compete for attention so much as celebrate being together. Nothing about it is quiet or restrained, and I think that’s precisely what makes it beautiful.
I’ve always loved gardens that are allowed to grow a little wild. The ones where flowers spill beyond their borders, where vines wind around things they were never intended to climb, and where nature reminds us that beauty doesn’t always follow the plans we make for it.
Antheia feels like a celebration of that freedom. Of growing in unexpected directions, blooming in your own time, and discovering that sometimes the most beautiful things happen when we stop trying to control every little piece of the garden.
