There was something wonderfully magical about candy that did more than taste sweet.
Candy that crackled on your tongue. That turned your mouth different colors. That came wrapped in impossibly bright packaging and made an ordinary afternoon feel like you had discovered something extraordinary.
The 90s had a way of making the smallest things feel like an adventure.
Cosmic Pop Rocks reminds me of that deliciously unpredictable kind of magic.
Explosions of electric pink, fiery tangerine, and ultraviolet purple dance through luminous turquoise and brilliant aqua. Tiny ribbons of iridescent rainbow curl between the layers, while shimmering copper and gold catch the light like little bursts of fireworks suspended inside the glass.
There is something almost effervescent about this piece.
Little bubbles appear between swirling layers of color, surrounded by brilliant flashes of metallic shimmer. The pinks seem to glow from within, the purples deepen into mysterious little pockets, and the turquoise opens into beautiful pools of light that give the marble an unexpected sense of depth.
It reminds me of afternoons spent at the candy store, carefully choosing something outrageous with a handful of change. Of trading stickers with friends, discovering holographic treasures, and the thrilling anticipation of opening something new simply because the packaging promised a little bit of wonder.
I think there was something beautiful about how easily we allowed ourselves to be fascinated.
We didn’t need the extraordinary to be complicated. Sometimes it was a piece of candy, a tiny treasure, or a flash of rainbow that appeared when we turned something toward the sunlight.
Cosmic Pop Rocks carries that same playful spirit.
A miniature explosion of color, shimmer, and unexpected little discoveries, with enough electric personality to make you smile every time you turn it.
Because a little bit of magic should always come with a pop.
Approximately 27mm. Slightly off-round, with subtle variations in its handmade spherical shape.
