I remember when the brightest colors seemed to hold the most magic.

When every trip to the mall felt like an adventure, the music stores were full of possibilities, and we spent hours choosing exactly the right colors for our friendship bracelets. There was something wonderfully exciting about a world where fluorescent pink, electric yellow, and ultraviolet purple could exist together without anyone questioning whether they belonged.

We didn’t have to make sense of everything beautiful. Sometimes we simply loved the way it made us feel.

Electric Starburst feels like that kind of happiness, captured in glass.

Brilliant ribbons of hot pink and glowing yellow twist through rich violet, electric blue, and little flashes of lime green. Delicate, almost weightless wisps of translucent glass float between the colors, creating beautiful layers of movement and depth. Beneath it all, fiery copper and golden shimmer catch the light like tiny sparks scattered through a kaleidoscope.

There is something wonderfully energetic about the way this piece moves.

The colors seem to fold into one another, sometimes meeting in brilliant little explosions and sometimes separating into graceful ribbons that stretch through the glass. Every turn reveals another unexpected combination, another hidden shimmer, another little moment that makes you want to look closer.

It reminds me of the excitement of making our own jewelry, covering everything we owned in glittery stickers, and carefully decorating handwritten notes before folding them into tiny squares to pass to our friends.

And perhaps that’s what I love most about this marble.
