I have always imagined that if you could capture the moment a rainbow breaks apart and scatters its colors across the sky, it might look something like this.
Named for Iris, the Greek goddess of the rainbow and the messenger between heaven and earth, this marble feels like a little piece of something that was never meant to stand still.
Vibrant ribbons of violet, electric green, and fiery orange twist through brilliant flashes of blue. Delicate, almost ethereal wisps of white drift between the colors, creating the illusion of movement suspended inside the glass.
There is something wonderfully untamed about this piece. Every time you turn it, another color emerges, another layer reveals itself, and the light finds somewhere new to dance.
Iris reminds me that we aren’t meant to be just one thing, one color, or one version of ourselves. We are allowed to be all of it. Brilliant, complicated, ever-changing, and beautiful in the spaces where everything comes together.
