There’s a particular warmth in color that I feel before I even have words for it. The deep reds and vibrant pinks in this marble remind me of sunlight lingering against my skin after the day begins to cool. That beautiful warmth that makes me want to stay outside just a little longer.
I named her Valencia.
Rich crimson and coral unfold around brilliant lime greens, while ribbons of violet and blue weave through flashes of shimmering gold. Some colors seem to glow from within, while others reveal themselves only when the light catches them at just the right angle.
What fascinates me is how the colors change one another. The green makes the pink feel brighter, the blue gives the warmth somewhere to settle, and the gold seems to find its way into everything.
There’s so much life in this little piece of glass. I love how each color holds its own, yet together they become something I never could have imagined by looking at them separately.
