Neon Sugar Rush | 26mm
There was a time when the world seemed to come in every color imaginable, and somehow, we wanted all of them at once.
The 90s were wonderfully excessive that way. Candy came in colors that probably shouldn’t have existed. Our favorite notebooks shimmered with holographic rainbows. And somewhere between the glitter, the friendship bracelets, and the music playing from our bedroom radios, we discovered the beautiful freedom of loving things simply because they made us happy.
Neon Sugar Rush feels like a little piece of that world, captured in glass.
Electric lime and cool mint green swirl through ribbons of violet, hot pink, and brilliant orange, while flashes of turquoise and blue bring little surprises to every turn. Bold black-and-white twists curl between the colors, and magnificent patches of fiery gold and copper shimmer beneath the surface like tiny explosions of light.
There’s something deliciously playful about this marble. It reminds me of sour candy, Lisa Frank stickers, neon plastic jewelry, and the excitement of wandering through the mall with your friends when five dollars felt like an entire fortune.
But what I love most is the movement.
Nothing inside this little world seems interested in sitting still. Colors fold into one another, twist around unexpected corners, and disappear beneath translucent layers before returning somewhere entirely new. The glowing greens feel almost luminous against the deeper purples, while those incredible metallic flashes give the whole piece an extra little spark of magic.
It’s bright. It’s unexpected. It’s wonderfully over the top.
A little reminder of those carefree days when we weren’t afraid to love everything colorful, when happiness could be found in the smallest treasures, and when the world still felt like an endless collection of beautiful possibilities.
Pure electric nostalgia, with a little extra sugar on top.
