Neon Supernova | 27mm
Some things are so extraordinary that they deserve their own universe.
I think about the 90s and the way everything seemed to exist somewhere between reality and imagination. Colors were impossibly bright. Music felt like it could change the world. We covered our bedrooms in glowing stars, dreamed beneath blacklights, and believed there was something magical waiting just beyond the ordinary.
We weren’t afraid of too much color, too much wonder, or dreaming too big.
Neon Supernova feels like all of that beautiful electricity captured in one magnificent little world.
At its heart is an extraordinary spiral of luminous opalescent white, surrounded by brilliant electric lime and sweeping ribbons of hot pink, tangerine orange, ultraviolet purple, and iridescent blue. Bold black-and-white details wind through the composition, while incredible flashes of copper and gold shimmer beneath the surface like fragments of starlight.
But it’s the movement that makes this piece unforgettable.
The central spiral draws you inward, almost as if the glass has opened a window into another dimension. From there, the colors seem to explode outward, curling into brilliant little galaxies of their own. Every rotation changes the entire landscape. What begins as a glowing white vortex becomes an explosion of orange and pink, then a cascade of rainbow ribbons, then a beautiful little universe of shimmering metallic light.
There is something wonderfully hypnotic about it.
It reminds me of lying beneath glow-in-the-dark stars on the ceiling, listening to my favorite music and imagining all the places I might someday go. Of holographic stickers, cosmic notebooks, and the kind of dreams that seemed far too enormous to fit inside the world we knew.
That was the magic of growing up surrounded by so much possibility.
We could imagine entire universes without ever leaving our bedrooms.
And somehow, looking into this marble brings that feeling rushing back.
A world within a world. A brilliant little explosion of color and light, with an extraordinary spiral at its center that seems to hold infinity inside something you can cradle in the palm of your hand.
Neon Supernova is wild, radiant, and wonderfully impossible to experience from only one angle.
Because some things don’t simply catch the light.
They become the light.
