There is something beautiful about the way light finds its way through glass. How it moves through one color and becomes something entirely different when it reaches the next. How something that appears soft and delicate can hold so much fire beneath its surface.

Rosefire Mirage reminds me of those fleeting moments when the sky is caught between sunset and twilight, when the last warmth of the sun lingers in the clouds and the colors become almost too beautiful to believe.

Ribbons of rose pink and soft lavender move through deep cranberry and warm amber, unfolding in delicate curves that remind me of flower petals caught in a gentle current. Iridescent blues slip between the layers, while brilliant flashes of gold and copper illuminate the spaces where the colors meet. There are tiny spirals tucked into the glass, little pockets of light, and intricate details that only reveal themselves when you turn the marble and look a little closer.

What I love about pieces like this is that they never really look the same twice. A shift in perspective changes everything. The soft pink becomes luminous against the deeper burgundy. The blues begin to glow. Something that looked golden a moment ago suddenly reveals hints of violet and copper.

And somewhere within all of those shifting colors, there is this wonderful illusion of movement, as though the glass is still remembering what it felt like to be molten.

I think that is one of the things I will always love most about working with glass. The ability to take something as fleeting as light, movement, and a moment of inspiration and give it a place to exist long after the moment itself has passed.
