Sunset Wave — Soleil Glass Compendium Tutorial
Sunset Wave is a study in movement, transparency and the way color can shift when different glasses meet inside a layered design.
This bead feels like a coastal rip current at sunset—the water still holding onto its blue while coral, pink and warm orange begin moving through the surface. The central spiral pulls everything inward like a current, then releases it back into the surrounding glass.
The palette is built with Double Helix Oracle Pastel Pink, Kronos 2023, Eros and Zephyr. One of the most beautiful parts of this bead is the interaction between those colors. As the layers meet and move through the wave, a reaction develops along the center line, creating that unexpected orange ribbon running through the curl.
That little line of orange changes the entire piece. It feels like the last strip of sunlight caught inside moving water.
Around it, the bead shifts through turquoise, ocean blue, translucent pink and deeper warm tones, with clear glass giving the whole piece that submerged, fluid depth.
It feels less like a pattern sitting on the glass and more like a sunset being pulled into the current.
